Rio+20 and Sustainable Develoment questions

From the All-Party Parliamentary Group for International Development & the Environment Rio+20 and the future of sustainable development The political parties answer your questions... On Tuesday 28 February, 9.30am in Westminster, broadcaster Jon Snow will chair a question time style debate on the future of sustainable development ahead of the Rio+20 summit later this year. Submit your question now. The deadline for receipt of questions is Friday 10 February. We will choose the best ten questions to put to the party representatives on the panel. If your question is chosen, you will need to attend the event to ask your question in person. Recycling update

The main roll-out of blue lidded bins for the collection of plastic bottles and cardboard has now been completed and collections have successfully started in north, east and west Wiltshire. On average over 700 tonnes of plastic bottles and cardboard are being collected each month.

Bringing empty homes into use

Part of the reason we have a housing crisis is that many usable houses stand empty. If they were brought into use we may not need to build as many new homes on the green fields of Wiltshire
