The Liberal Democrats have tabled a new clause (NC26) to the Water Bill to introduce water metering for all homes. The proposals will be debated by MPs on Tuesday 21st October.
"The Government has been warned repeatedly that its waste strategy is pushing local councils towards a policy of incineration. Ministers are not giving councils the support they need make recycling and waste reduction an affordable alternative to landfill.
