What a fabulous set of results in the Local Elections on 2nd May. So many NEW councillors - Congratulations. Have you got your GREEN plans set out for when you go to your first council meetings? No…? We`d like to help.

We have organised a special Climate change/Biodiversity workshop for new Lib Dem Councillors at the Green Liberal Democrat Conference planned for 15th June in Nottingham - AND we have organised a discounted price for you to come along to the conference and take advantage of the Green expertise that will be on offer during the day. A chance to meet seasoned veterans of Green Campaigning and pick up pointers as to setting priorities for your local councils in relation to Climate change, Biodiversity, dealing with the plastics problem, renewable energy and so much more.

You will also have the benefit of networking with environmental experts coming to speak at the conference anyway over coffee breaks, lunch and in the afternoon plenary session.

Assuming the leadership contest has begun by then we will be having the GREEN Hustings at the end of the afternoon with the leadership contenders setting out their stalls and being open to questions. (The Hustings will also act as the East Midlands hustings for the contest as well so we will be joined from 5pm onwards by Lib Dems from around the East Midlands Region.)
