OUR TOPIC
This session will take a different view of the world of work, dealing with the legal situation for employees and employers faced with greatly changed employment conditions coping with social distancing requirements and a changed social compact between employers and their employees. If there is increased working from home, are employees protected from the hazards of work? It will review the statutory requirements and the different union responses to changed conditions. Working from home may bring significant environmental benefits to society but will these be outweighed by the health costs of a more sedentary life style.
