Film (second showing): "2040 - join the REGENERATION"
"2040 - join the REGENERATION" The film "2040 - join the REGENERATION" had its Liberal Democrat Film Premiere on the lunchtime of Sunday 21st June from 12.00 Noon to 1.30pm.
The film, which has been licenced directly for showing to YOU, looks at the possible world of 2040 through the eyes of an Australian journalist wondering how his 5 year old daughter will be living about 20 years from now.
All of the things he looks at in the film are possible with the current state of knowledge, but will require a solid political will to put into place. It is a challenging film and will generate much debate - and there's an opportunity for that right here!. In case you miss it, there will be a third showing on Sunday 5th July from 11.00am to 12.30pm.
Award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on a journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.
Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations."
