Our guests in this session have come to discuss with and listen to ideas from our Green Liberal Democrat members on how to make the Liberal Democrats much more environmentally friendly as a political party.

We have Party President Dr Mark Pack and newly appointed English Party Vice-Chair for Regional Development Alison Rouse.

The Corona Virus has proven to be a major pivot for home working and doing business of all sorts on Zoom and other internet platforms. Indeed, the Lib Dem Autumn Conference will be held this year online, so plans are afoot about which we hope to hear at this event.

We anticipate the session will be able to address questions of how these environmentally positive actions will affect both internal Party democracy and also the way we interact with the outside world. We need also to ask questions about the primacy of leaflets, leaflets and more leaflets, which has been a facet of Liberal and Liberal Democrat politics and "winning here" for many a year. Are all these leaflets necessary and should we not be planting trees by the thousand to offset our paper use in elections - or is offsetting a form of "Greenwash" - an accusation we often make against airlines and other large users of fossil fuels for example.

The co-hosts for this session will be President of the Green Lib Dems, and former MEP, Martin Horwood together with former GLD Chair (now current Vice chair) Councillor Graham Neale.
