Speakers: Sir Ed Davey MP, Wera Hobhouse MP, Layla Moran MP
5 pm to 6.30pm Saturday 20th June
Conference Hall at 2020 GLD Vision Conference
Chairs: Keith Melton & Alison Rouse
Moderators: Simon Oliver and Diana Catton

Although the formal nominations do not close until 9th July, three of our Lib Dem MPs have thrown their hats into the ring to become the next Leader of the Party.
Green Lib Dem members and Party members generally have this great opportunity to question our three contenders as to their Green and Radical roots.
We can ask them where they get their green inspiration from and what are they planning to do to drag the Party into contention against a backdrop of grave environmental threats we all face.

What does the Party need to do and say to break through the political background noise?
What are the policies we need to put at the top of our Manifesto to make the electorate sit up and take notice of us?
How do we work with other political parties and environmental NGOs to create an overwhelming movement for change?
How close dare we get to the sort of NVDA (non-violent direct action) advocated by eXtinction Rebellion and others?
Indeed, is NVDA justified in a corona-virus dominated political framework?

And if you don`t like those questions, come along and ask your own questions of the following three Liberal Democrat members of Parliament:-

The wide scope of our festival of Green events gives us the opportunity of hearing much more from each of the three contenders when they will each have a one-hour event to themselves. You can get to know each one of them more intimately in these sessions - and we hope they will speak to the environmental issues that are the focus of the GLD Festival.

These sessions will follow each other over three evenings in the second week of our green festival

Wednesday 1st July 6.00pm - 7.00pm Wera Hobhouse MP

Thursday 2nd July 5.30pm - 6.30pm Layla Moran MP

Friday 3rd July 7.00pm - 8.00pm Sir Ed Davey MP
