wind_turbineChelmsford will be greener, safer, fairer and better connected under ambitious plans agreed by the Liberal Democrat led City Council. On 22nd January the Council approved 'Our Chelmsford, Our Plan' - the Council's aims for the coming years.

The Plan outlines the Council's new priorities under four themes:

Leader of Chelmsford City Council, Councillor Stephen Robinson, said, "We are ambitious for our City and its people. Chelmsford is growing and most of our residents experience a good quality of life, but we can make it better. Our Plan is a framework for delivering improved services to residents and businesses, in the most inclusive and sustainable way."

He added, "We aim to be a creative council with the community at its heart and to be recognised as a leading regional centre and destination in the East of England. We will improve the lives of all our residents by making Chelmsford fairer, greener, safer and better connected."

'Our Chelmsford, Our Plan' was formally approved by the Full Council meeting on Wednesday 22 January. You can read the Plan at www.chelmsford.gov.uk/ourplan
