Protecting Green Spaces - Daily Echo, 29th September 2016

By Peter Galton in Daily Echo

The Communities and Local Government Committee will be meeting soon to start looking at the responses to the consultation to see if Parks & Green spaces will be properly protected.

These areas are used by so many of us in Southampton, from the more formal to the less so. We are fortunate to have these Parks and Green spaces in the City. The parks in the City have always been well thought off for many years, and may it continue. Whether you are exercising, walking the dog, with your children, watching other leisure activities, or just going to a park is very positive for us and our wellbeing.

I very much hope that the government will give this issue full consideration and make sure that our Parks and Green spaces will be protected for all of us to use and enjoy not just in Southampton, but all over the country.
