Terry White, who stood for the Green Party in Rugby at the general election, has joined the Liberal Democrats. White has also stepped down from his role as co-ordinator of Rugby Green Party as well as from the role of chair of the under 30's branch of the midlands region of the party. In a statement Mr White, a former member of the Lib Dems, said he had rejoined the party because he was confident in the fight back of the party following the election of Tim Farron as leader.
He added that he was excited for the journey ahead, rebuilding after the election and helping win back the trust of the electorate. We got tuition fees wrong but five years ago the Lib Dems campaigned to end income tax on the first £10k you earn and for the pupil premium, two policies now in law.
Welcome home Terry.
