Local Lib Dems Deliver Environmental Improvement at Mote Park and River Len Nature Reserve

December 17, 2014 4:01 PM

A successful bid for grant funding by Lib Dem Councillor Tony Harwood has delivered a real improvement to the boundary between historic Mote Park and the beautiful River Len Local Nature Reserve.

The new farm style gates have increase security and smartened-up a previously ramshackle but high profile boundary between two popular public open spaces.

Tony sought grant funding for the new gates from a Maidstone Borough Council under-spend.

Tony commented: "The new gates have really improved the entrance to the nature reserve from Mote Park. I am determined that improvements to security and environmental quality can now be delivered at the Sunningdale Court and Turkey Mill entrances."
