Ed updated members Lib Dems and other European liberals based in Brussels with his work in the Coalition government and on climate issues:

"Lib Dems in government are delivering on our promises on the environment, from the world's first Green Investment Bank to our drive for green jobs and green growth.

For us, the EU's role is crucial. That's why we are working closely with the Green Growth Group - bringing together Ministers from 10 like-minded Member States - to raise the EU's ambition on energy and climate change policy."

"Lib Dems in Brussels and Europe provide a network for our members in 24 European countries, contribute crucial EU policy expertise to the party, and of course campaign on European issues. The next crucial step for us will be the 2014 elections, where we are determined to support a strong pro-European campaign in the UK."
