Cheadle MP becomes Keep Trade Local Ambassador

September 29, 2011 3:12 PM

Mark Hunter MP has become an ambassador of the Federation of Small Businesses' (FSB) Keep Trade Local campaign.

As ambassador of Keep Trade Local - a campaign that aims to secure the sustainability of communities - Mr Hunter has pledged to remember that small businesses are at the heart of communities, to support small businesses in his constituency and to bring the small business voice to Parliament.

Mark Hunter said:

"I am pleased to be able to add my name to the Keep Trade Local campaign. More than ever now it is vital that we support the businesses at the heart of our local communities. The campaign looks for local solutions to local problems and the small business entrepreneurs have a key role in helping to deliver local opportunities and growth."

Richard Gregg, FSB Chairman of the Manchester and North Cheshire Region added:

"Our cities and towns are creating 'Clone Town Britain'. We all want the choices that independent shops, manufacturers and businesses give us but if we don't use them, we'll lose them. We are delighted that Mark is supporting our campaign."
