Local MP adds voice to campaign for local food at North Walsham Hospital

August 22, 2011 3:56 PM

North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb has written to Sheila Adams-O'Shea to add his voice to calls for locally sourced, prepared and cooked food to be used at North Walsham Hospital.

"I am conscious that many schools are now opting to operate in this way and it seems to me to be sensible to at least examine the case for local sourcing and preparation of food at the hospital." said Mr Lamb.

In his letter Norman Lamb asks for a meeting to be briefed on progress with the North Walsham Hospital and to discuss the case presented by George Cook and the Town Council for food to be prepared at the nearby Rose Meadow care home rather than Cambridge based firm Lifespan.
