More recycling initiates to come on stream

June 22, 2011 9:58 PM

New recycling initiatives that were planned when the Liberal Democrats ran Milton Keynes Council come into effect shortly.

From mid July to September a new yellow collection bag will be supplied for you to put your used household batteries in. It will be collected with your garden waste. Car batteries can be taken to the council's recycling centres.

Rolls of 80 pink sacks will be supplied between July to September for your recycling (an increase of 20) and you will be able now to include socks, shirts, jumpers, in fact all sorts of worn out clothes, even trainers and shoes. Good condition clothers should still be given to charities to recycle.
