Oxfordshire businesses discuss environment

May 27, 2011 4:14 PM

Last night Catherine Bearder MEP hosted a dinner for business leaders from across Oxfordshire to discuss ways that business can become more environmentally sustainable.

After the dinner Catherine said, "We've had representatives from many different Oxfordshire businesses discussing ways we can lessen our impact on Oxfordshire's environment."

"I heard many great examples of the ways our businesses are becoming greener, whether it be minimising waste, investing in renewable sources of energy or working with local community groups."

"But while there is much being done, there is always more that can, and should, be done. We need to constantly be looking for ways we can become more environmentally friendly."

"We only have one planet and once it's gone, it's gone. So we must act now!"
