Selwyn today signed the Fork2Fork pledge, which calls on families and individuals, wherever possible, to buy their food directly from the producer from outlets such as farmers' markets, farm shops, farm gates, online and box schemes. Fork2Fork is a two-year information and awareness raising campaign to encourage people to buy direct from producers. Selwyn said: "It's very important that we don't allow the major supermarkets to totally dominate the supply of our food. That's why we should all try to buy our food directly from producers whenever we can." For further information on the Campaign, click on our web link for Fork2Fork.
