QUEEN'S SPEECH: WHAT ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT? - BAKER

November 26, 2003 1:53 PM

Norman Baker MPThe Queen's Speech has shown that the Government has abandoned the environment according to the Liberal Democrats.

Norman Baker MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, said:

"Once again, the Government has proved that it does not care about the environment.

"A nuclear bail-out bill is simply not enough when waste, road traffic and energy consumption are all rising.

"The environment should be at the heart of government, not out on a limb."
