GOVERNMENT MUST GET A GRIP OF BIOFUELS STRATEGY - GEORGE

November 6, 2003 12:00 AM

Andrew George MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Rural Affairs Minister, responding to the DEFRA select committee report on Bio-fuels, said:

"The Government are guilty of fiddling while our power stations continue to burn polluting fossil fuels.

"Unless the Government gets a grip on this issue and drives policy forward, Britain will miss the boat and our primary sources of bio-fuels will be from imports."
