QUEEN'S SPEECH: WHAT ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT? - BAKER1.53.29pm GMT Wed 26th Nov 2003
The Queen's Speech has shown that the Government has abandoned the environment according to the Liberal Democrats. Norman Baker MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, said: "Once again, the Government has proved that it does not care about the environment. "A nuclear bail-out bill is simply not enough when waste, road traffic and energy consumption are all rising. "The environment should be at the heart of government, not out on a limb."
