GLD Regional Reps
Regional Reps exist to increase representation of GLD in the regions, and locally; for the regions to feed into the GLD exec; to extend membership and increase members' involvement in GLD activities; and to encourage environmental policy to permeate regional and local levels.

Regional Reps act as a vital link between the GLD Exec and local members in the following ways: - Encouraging a presence at Regional Party Conferences. -Working on GLD regional or local membership/recruitment to create a stronger voice within the party. -Developing an active GLD presence in your area. -Encouraging local members to submit motions and amendments to Federal Party Conferences and to reply to government consultations (through liaising with GLD exec and our Policy Panel). -Encouraging members' participation in EU decision-making. -Ensuring environmentally-focused policies are submitted to and passed Regional Party Conference. -Pursuing environmentally-focused policies are supported and initiated at Local Authority level. -Working with GLD exec and Policy Panel to disseminate environmentally-focused policies, sharing best practise, and developing blue-prints for local and regional policy bodies |
